Ares Defense and Bushmaster Team to Meet High Product Demand for
Black Lightning™ Gas Piston Kits!
Ares Defense developed the Black Lightning™ gas piston system as a simple and robust "drop-in" retrofit kit for the M4 carbine and has manufactured the patent-pending product since November of 2005. The Black Lightning™ enjoys tremendous market success and is frequently sold-out due to high demand from law enforcement, military and civilian shooters who require extreme reliability from their weapons at an affordable price. When lives are at stake, the Black Lightning™ gas-piston is preferred over other systems by Law Enforcement and Military combat personnel.
Bushmaster Firearms International recognized the great success of the Black Lightning™ "drop-in" gas-piston kit by acquiring the exclusive manufacturing and marketing rights to the system after it completed without failure, a gruelling 10,000 round non-stop endurance test! Accordingly, Ares Defense is no longer accepting orders for this product and is now referring its "drop-in piston-kit" customers to Bushmaster.
We are very proud of the success of the Black Lightning™ product line and Bushmaster has a great reputation in the firearm industry for both high quality and excellent customer service! They are the perfect partner for this product and Bushmaster's production of the "drop-in" piston kits permits Ares Defense to direct more of its manufacturing resources toward the Shrike 5.56™ program, another excellent product to which we are very committed.
